We are sorry that there were no ezines in 2003 other than the winter 03 issue.  A new home and office in Skaneateles NY, put us behind.  But we found a better way to email and maintain the mailing list (it has grown so much this past year) This year we hope to keep on track.  We hope this did not inconvenience anyone and we will make every  effort to be more timely with our installments.

A REVIEW  &  THE LOVERS, THE CHARIOT, AND STRENGTH
We have taken a short break since the last ezine, so I am going to start with a little review. We are continuing our talk about The Fool's journey through the Major Arcana of the Tarot.  The journey of The Fool is a spiritual journey. We are the Fool going on our own spiritual journey.

The 22 "Keys" of the Tarot are called the Major Arcana. Arcana means secrets, so these 22 Tarot Cards speak of the Major Secrets.

Why do we always start with The Fool? Well, The Fool (O) represents us (our Soul energy) before we manifest. Whenever you confront The Fool, get ready for a new beginning of some sorts! Pack your bag of tricks and be ready to hit the floor running!

The next manifestation of our soul comes through the Magician(I). The Magician is very SELF conscious, and in this I mean aware of the self (little s). It is here that we realize that we are human. Yet, with a clear connection to Spirit, we are able to create anything we wish. We learn to use our will to work with Divine Will. The Magician has opened the bag of The Fool and found the four elements. With these, now manifested, The Magician is creator on Earth.

Once The Fool learns how to use will, the next journey of discovery is through the High Priestess (II). The High Priestess communicates through hidden meanings. When The Fool is living through her, The Fool comprehends that one can learn through exerting one's will like The Magician, yet it is also important to attain the power of following inner guidance. How to acquire that skill is gained through spending quiet time with The High Priestess.

The Empress (III) is the queen of visualization. She represents the inspiration of the Fool, the will of the Magician and the intuitive connection of the High Priestess coming together into the pregnancy stage of manifesting that which The Emperor will finish! Mother Earth, Venus, Demeter and The Empress are all fashioned from the same mold. She represents fertility, feminine energy and the birth of new beginnings. When she shows up in your life, get ready to be in the creative stage of something new. You are preparing to birth a child or a project! Don't worry if you aren't ready for it to manifest, that is the job of The Emperor!

The Emperor (IV) is the builder, boss and basically what you think of as masculine, manifesting energy! Here The Fool has learned that you need to put energy into an inspiration in order to see it manifest on Earth. With any project, you need the idea gal (Empress) and the guy that makes it happen (Emperor). Now remember that The Empress doesn't have to be a woman and the Emperor a man! We have take charge woman and creative men! We are talking about a type of energy here!

The next stop on our Spiritual Ride is The Hierophant (V). He is like The High Priestess except that he has to make rules for everyone to follow. He helps us to connect to our inner vision like she does, but he uses tools that work for larger crowds. Sometimes he can be the rebel that started out trying to beat the system and ends up becoming part of the institution and make the changes he wants from within! When the Hierophant comes to talk to you, don't expect personalized attention. Expect the help of a large organizations and the need to think big!

Okay, so we are all caught up on our review. Let's move forward and see how The Fool learns through The Lovers, The Chariot and Strength.

The Lovers (VI) teaches The Fool discernment (good decision-making). There are 3 figures on this card (Rider Waite deck), a man, woman and angel. The lesson here is that our common sense or conscious mind (the Man) must also ask the intuitive side (the woman) for insight in order to make have the best discernment. The woman or intuitive side connects with her higher self (the angel) and brings back more information to help the conscious mind to make the decision. When they don't work together, a whole level of information is missing which leads to bad decisions and even delusion, as we will see in the Devil card! When The Lovers comes forward in your life, you can be sure a  "poop or get off the pot" decision is coming!

The Chariot (VII) is a very important stop for The Fool on his journey. This theme of a chariot and a charioteer runs as far back as the Hindu's writings of the Upanishads (quite old)! The Chariot reminds us that our senses (the horses) shouldn't be the ones leading the chariot (our body). The charioteer (our higher self) should be the one controlling the reigns and doing the leading. This is the last of the Powers learned by The Fool. His next part of the Spiritual Journey is learning all the laws that govern the powers of the first 7 Major Arcana. The Strength Card (VIII) seems almost a relief after the strong and powerful lessons The Fool has learned! The Fool is now tested! Strength teaches the fool that his motivations must be positive and controlled by his higher self (seen as the woman controlling the lion). There is not a struggle here if motivations are true to the higher or divine will. The problem comes up when the lower mind (and lower wants) take control of the abilities of the Magician to manifest using his will. Strength teaches us that it is necessary to not allow personal will guide our life and our creations. It is by combining divine will with personal will that we manifest good. We were supposed to learn from the chariot not to let the senses guide our chariot and here is our first test to make sure we get it right! Strength appears when there is a need to balance, body mind and spirit and to make sure our motivations are pure.

WHY DO WE NEED TO EVOLVE
Winter is a great time for reflection. As I was reviewing my writings, I came across this question that was asked of me after I had an article published in Inner Realm Magazine.  The article was named Three Transformational Experiences.  It briefly discussed my, Near Death, living with it and how it helped me through life.  A copy of the article can be found on my web site.

I've heard it said, "When the student is ready the teacher will appear.  I would like to thank you for sharing your story.  I have an incredible trust in the universe and I was meant to pick up the last Inner Realm magazine yesterday.  I felt the truth in your story and will carry with me the new truths I have felt from your story. When you said you are in the perfect place at all times it was like a bonk on the head but in my soul.  I will use it a lot. Thank you.

In your article on your three transformational experiences you said we all have experiences and obstacles to overcome from so we can evolve and grow.  My question is what for?  What are we evolving from and into?  And for what?  Aren't we straight from the light, heaven, or whatever you want to call it? If we are and I believe we are, then how much more can we evolve?       M

Isn't it great to get that bonk on the head once in awhile, I love when it happens because it confirms what we are doing here and that leads into your question.  As I was shown when I return into the Light and speak with Spirit. "We need the experiences of our lives, so when we return to the light; our fragment of the light can use the lower vibrations of our life here to evolve. So we can become better co-creators". 

I have asked the same question a number of times, and I have asked for a language that I can understand.  This is what it means to me with my limited understanding.  We have all agreed to a path in this life because when we are home in the light we have a vibration so high that we can not have the same experiences as a dense life form.  When we live our lives here, a part of our light is still home and recording everything.  You see we never really leave the light.  When we return in whole we experience the life review that shows us all the ripples our life here has caused in the universe. Like a spider we can touch and feel the vibrations of our life's passage, on our paths.  (spiders feel the vibrations of their webs to know what is going on) With this reminder of low or dense vibration we can then become better at or next level of co creation.

So my limited exposure and knowledge teaches me that.  Our goal of evolution is to grow to a point, so we will be able to be conscious of our light body and the universal consciousness as we live our lives here.  When we reach that point I don't know where we will go.  Maybe if we all check into our light we might get an answer.  We may not understand it, but are we ready to understand it? 

 I think we just need to go with the flow and live a good life knowing that everything we do affects everything in the universe.  We are all interconnected Love and Light

With this winter being so cold, (-12?, wind chill -21?F as I'm typing) I am able to spend some time in my den being reflective.  So I think I will tackle some of the deeper questions. Maybe mindfulness for next quarter's article.  By the way I don't think of myself as a teacher, I more think of myself as a spiritual friend.
