New Age Music

[Acoustic Guitar] [Celtic Music] [Flute & Tribal Beats] [Native American] [Relaxation Music] [Sound Healing CDs]

Below are some of my favorite New Age Music CDs.

bulletAmerican Acoustic
Eric Tingstad & Nancy Rumbel
bullet American AcousticThis CD is kept in my office to keep me calm when I'm working on the web.  Eric and Nancy's music takes us out of time and into quiet, canceling out the noise that surrounds us, and allowing us to hear and feel the world's heartbeat - and our own. They take us to a rich variety of beautiful places all over the world - from pastoral sunlit meadows to stormy mountaintops; from wooden sailing ships to country chapels; from lush forests to scalding desert.

bulletSpirit Wind
David Arkenstone
bullet Spirit WindThis is one of my favorite Arkenstone CD's! The songs range from cheerful and full of energy to soft and haunting. There are NO songs on this CD to skip. They are all excellent! Lots of flutes and drums, as it IS a Native American-inspired work.

bulletDream
Kitaro
bullet DreamYes' front man Jon Anderson, he now sings with Kitaro in this beautiful production, which borrows a little bit, from the musical spirits of these modern day geniuses. There is not one song that stands out: the entire album is worth listening to once and again. Get it, and listen to it with the lights off. You'll be transported!

bulletQuest of the Dream Warrior
David Arkenstone
bullet Quest of the Dream WarriorThere are very few musicians who can tell a story in music the way David Arkenstone can. Quest of the Dream Warrior follows the story, written especially for this piece by Mercedes Lackey, so well that visualizing the story is not just easy, it's almost impossible to avoid. Arkenstone places the listener in Kyle, the heroine's, place. The listener experiences the thrill of the ride, the savagery of the villian and the sweet taste of victory. A masterpiece well worth having.

Graceful Passages: A Companion for Living and Dying  (Book & 2 CD Set)
by Michael Stillwater, and Gary Remal Malkin

The wonder of life is often overlooked. The preciousness of being alive, of appreciating ourselves, each other, and our world, is sometimes the last thing we remember in our rush. The book’s heartfelt words, from some of the world’s greatest visionary leaders, are set to original soul-stirring music, creating an atmosphere of relaxation, insight, and healing. Created by the cofounders of the Companion Arts Foundation, Graceful Passages addresses themes of letting go, closure, expressing love, forgiveness, appreciation of life, and continuity of spirit from different perspectives and faith traditions. Through words and music, this beautifully designed set offers a renewal of faith to anyone struggling with grief.
