In The Intention Experiment,
internationally bestselling author Lynne McTaggart, an award-winning science
journalist and leading figure in the human consciousness studies community,
presents a gripping scientific detective story and takes you on a
mind-blowing journey to the farthest reaches of consciousness. She profiles
the colorful pioneers in intention science and works with a team of renowned
scientists from around the world, including physicist Fritz-Albert Popp of
the International Institute of Biophysics and Dr. Gary Schwartz, professor
of psychology, medicine, and neurology at the University of Arizona, to
determine the effects of focused group intention on scientifically
quantifiable targets -- animal, plant, and human.
The Intention Experiment builds on the discoveries of McTaggart's first
book, international bestseller The Field: The Quest for the Secret Force of
the Universe, which documented discoveries that point to the existence of a
quantum energy field. The Field created a picture of an interconnected
universe and a scientific explanation for many of the most profound human
mysteries, from alternative medicine and spiritual healing to extrasensory
perception and the collective unconscious. The Intention Experiment shows
you myriad ways that all this information can be incorporated into your
life.
Dr. Arnold Mindell's new model of
medicine based on the mind-blowing findings of quantum-physics pioneers who
are reconfiguring the landscape of our belief structure almost daily. "The
Quantum Mind and Healing" is Mindell's most important and best work yet.
Mindell explains that you can access your body's own intelligence and
self-healing abilities. Embracing both conventional and alternative
medicine, he shows that to truly heal you need both medicine and your own
natural wisdom. "The Quantum Mind and Healing" goes well beyond theory,
giving you simple techniques, guided exercises, and precise explanations of
vital concepts that will enable you to uncover, understand, and eliminate
the root causes of even your chronic symptoms and illnesses. "The Quantum
Mind and Healing" can also help you overcome long-term emotional and
behavioral patterns that may be keeping you from living your greatest
potential.
With disarming honesty, humility,
and respect, His Holiness the Dalai Lama has explored the relationship
between religion and science and suggested the way in which they can affirm
and qualify each other’s insights. By juxtaposing traditional Buddhist
teaching with the discoveries of modern physics and biology, he infuses the
debate about such contentious issues as the origins of the universe, the
nature of human consciousness, the evolution of species and genetic
engineering with intimations of profound spirituality and shows how these
questions can further our search for ultimate meaning. But above all, his
gentle but insistent call for compassion is desperately needed in our torn
and conflicted world. You gotta have this one.
Quantum physicists study the
nature of light. The Bible speaks of light when talking about God.
Near-death experiences describe going to a light that is welcoming,
intelligent, and loving. Strangest of all, however, is the similarity of all
these descriptions of the nature, presence, and behavior of light to
descriptions of the nature of God.
Could it be that light and God are one in the same? Physician Lee Baumann
makes a case for exactly that. From many sources, Dr. Baumann has
synthesized a compelling picture of what may be the true nature of our
universe at all levels- physical, mental, and spiritual.
Can we sense what's happening to
loved ones thousands of miles away? Why are we sometimes certain of a
caller's identity the instant the phone rings? Do intuitive hunches contain
information about future events? Is it possible to perceive without the use
of the ordinary senses? Many people believe that such "psychic phenomena"
are rare talents or divine gifts. Others don't believe they exist at all.
But the latest scientific research shows that these phenomena are both real
and widespread, and are an unavoidable consequence of the interconnected,
entangled physical reality we live in. Albert Einstein called
entanglement "spooky action at a distance" -- the way two objects remain
connected through time and space, without communicating in any conventional
way, long after their initial interaction has taken place. Could a similar
entanglement of minds explain our apparent psychic abilities? Dean Radin,
believes it might.
In this illuminating book, Radin shows how we know that psychic phenomena
such as telepathy, clairvoyance, and psychokinesis are real, based on
scientific evidence from thousands of controlled lab tests. Radin surveys
the origins of this research and explores, among many topics, the collective
premonitions of 9/11. He reveals the physical reality behind our uncanny
telepathic experiences and intuitive hunches, and he debunks the skeptical
myths surrounding them. Entangled Minds sets the stage for a rational,
scientific understanding of psychic experience.
Hyperspace: A Scientific Odyssey Through Parallel Universes, Time Warps,
and the 10th Dimension
by Michio Kaku
How many dimensions do you live
in? Three? Maybe that's all your commonsense sense perception perceives, but
there is growing and compelling evidence to suggest that we actually live in
a universe of ten real dimensions. Kaku has written an extraordinarily lucid
and thought-provoking exploration of the theoretical and empirical bases of
a ten-dimensional universe and even goes so far as to discuss possible
practical implications--such as being able to escape the collapse of the
universe. Yikes. Highly Recommended.

"In the beginning was the void teeming with infinite possibilities of which
you are one." -the movie
If I could give only one movie to every person in the world, it would be
this
ground-breaking quantum fable. Part documentary, part narrative drama, and
part visual hallucinogen, this is a film that blows the door off the
metaphysical closet. Everyday folks are realizing that they are not alone in
contemplating the nature of reality, exploring the convergence of science
and spirituality, and yearning for something more to the human experience.
What the Bleep Do We Know!? blends interviews with scientists,
neurobiologists, quantum physicists, and a 35,000 year old being with live
action and wondrous special effects. Oscar winner Marlee Matlin plays a
jaded photographer named Amanda who falls down a metaphysical rabbit hole.
Through a series of mind-bending events, Amanda is forced to confront what
she thought was reality-as well as the source of her boredom, anxiety, and
self-contempt.
In light of quantum physics (which, in a nutshell, is the physics of
probabilities), the filmmakers explore the concept of multiple realities
existing at once. While parallel, alternate universes are the stuff of Star
Trek, this concept isn't so far fetched considering scientists have produced
a particle of light that exists in two places at the same time. Not only
that, electrons and the nuclei of atoms completely disappear and reappear
all the time. Where do they go? If this happens on an atomic level, what
does this mean for the macro level?
by Paul Halpern
The concept of multiple unperceived dimensions in the universe is one of the
hottest topics in contemporary physics. It is essential to current attempts
to explain gravity and the underlying structure of the universe. The Great
Beyond begins with Einstein’s famous quarrel with Heisenberg and Bohr, whose
theories of uncertainty threatened the order Einstein believed was essential
to the universe, and it was his rejection of uncertainty that drove him to
ponder the existence of a fifth dimension. Beginning with this famous
disagreement and culminating with an explanation of the newest "brane"
approach, author Paul Halpern shows how current debates about the nature of
reality began as age-old controversies, and addresses how the possibility of
higher dimensions has influenced culture over the past one hundred years.
