Evocative rhythms interlaced with

dreaming, where past, present and future blend into a luminous space of

of the didgeridoo, didj horns, percussion, keyboards, strings and vocal
incantation to initiate a mysterious journey.
On its spectacular debut
recording, the exciting young British vocal group stile antico presents a
program of English Renaissance music A who's-who of 16th-century British
composers--including Thomas Tallis, William Byrd, and John Sheppard--is
represented here by hymns, antiphons, responsories, motets, and psalms: the
occasion not only for music of intimacy, elegance, and reflection, but for
flights of breathtaking harmonic daring.
Stile Antico is an ensemble of young British singers, fast gaining
recognition as one of the most original and exciting new voices in its
field. Drawing critical praise for its ‘wonderfully vivid singing’ and
‘perfectly focused and ideally balanced voices.’
Working without a conductor, the members of Stile Antico rehearse and
perform as chamber musicians, each contributing artistically to the musical
result. Their repertoire ranges from the glorious legacy of the English
Tudor composers to the works of the Flemish and Spanish schools and the
music of the early Baroque. They are passionate about the need to
communicate with their audiences, combining thoughtful programming with
direct, expressive performances.
Music for star gazers,
planetariums and meditation. The Pleiades are a beautiful and brilliant
cluster of stars in the constellation of Taurus. I have a large picture of
them in my recording studio, and sometimes when I look at this picture, I am
inspired to compose music, which is very different from anything I have ever
composed or heard before. This album is a collection of these pieces.
Escape to a tranquil paradise and
indulge in a moment of calm and serenity - Midori's music perfectly reflects the
peace and spirituality of Bali's ancient temples. Natural sounds of ocean shore,
birdsong, fountains and streams combine with the sounds of Chinese and Indian
wood flutes, shaku, yi-ching, ghuzen, finger cymbals, dragon drum, wind chimes
and keyboards to create an album of serene beauty, perfect for meditation,
relaxation or to recapture your own memories of a tranquil paradise. Midori is
not a she, in fact, Midori is Medwyn Goodall and he has at least a half dozen
releases under the name Midori.
