Radiation Therapy:

When I go to have my radiation Monday – Friday, I try to have a good time with the personnel.  We joke around a lot.  But when they leave the room to start the treatment its time to get to work on healing.  I’m lucky in that the equipment does not intimidate me.  If you are having trouble because of the equipment, then try to understand it by asking the technicians about it when they are setting you up.  Just let the equipment do its thing and you do your part.

Your part is visualization.  I agree that a picture is worth a thousand words. So if you can’t visualize the mass or tumor ask the technicians to show you the cat scan or help with a picture.  Now visualize the mass in your body and while the machine is buzzing or clicking around you, see the tumor shrinking.  Visualize a feather brushing up against the mass and slowly wearing it down.  Be realistic and shrink it a little at a time with love in your heart.  If the tumor is large like mine was if you shrink it to fast or all at once, it would cause the body to go into shock.
