Volochaevka -- This battle is commemorated in the third stanza of a popular Soviet song about partisans (1918-21) fighting for Siberia's Maritime Territory,
"Po dolinam i po vzgor'yam" ("Along valleys and hillocks")

In 1952, the "All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks)" [ACP(b)] was renamed the "Communist Party of the Soviet Union" (CPSU) as part of a general reorganization. "CPSU" is more familiar to modern readers. The two terms are used interchangeably here.
