Astro-Physics 130mm f8.35 StarFire EDT Apochromatic Refractor on the Giro-II (Giro since sold) and the

Takahashi TOA-130 f7.7 Ortho-Apochromat on the Astro-Physics 600E GTO  I've had a lot of good nights

doing a friendly competition with these two 130mm instruments, both are great performers.

The AP130 StarFire on the DiscMounts DM-6  and AP wooden tripod.  I met the owner of DiscMounts,

Tom Peters, earlier this year at TSP.  Tom is a great guy and has a very innovative product in the DM-6.

It is equipped with the Sky Commander digital setting circles.  Check out the features of the DiscMount

                                         at the link above.

The Takahashi TOA-130 on the DiscMount.  The TOA-130 with the rings and finder weighs in at close

to 30lbs.  The DiscMount handles it with ease, maintains excellent balance even changing from a single

                                        eyepiece to a binoviewer.

This is the newest entry to the addiction, the 16" SpaceWalk Telescopes f4.5 truss Dobsonian.  The owner

and builder of SpaceWalk Telescopes, Miguel Betancourt, is most certainly a perfectionist.  The attention to

detail really jumps out at you when you first see one of his instruments.  I opted for the Pegasus Optics mirror

and the Argo Navis Digital Telescope Computer.
