"We Will Be Faithful, Like Petr Kotel'nikov"

Every OKDVA soldier looks with pride on the glorious NKVD workers, who, under the faithful leadership of the Party's son, N.I. Yezhov, in the tradition of Iron Felix, mercilessly liquidate enemies, cleansing the Motherland of Trotskyist-Bukharinite dogs from the fascist kennel.

In this year, my service in the OKDVA almost being over, I decided to permanently remain in the army.

All my strengths and abilities, I will devote all my life to strengthening my beloved OKVDA, which for me has been a second mother.

If an enemy tries to attack the sacrosanct borders of our dear land, he will be beaten on his own territory.

The fascist aggressors will receive the first crushing blow from our heroic border-guards. Together with the whole Red Army, we border-guards will annihilate the enemy.

On the day of the twentieth anniversary of the VChK-NKVD, we, the fighters of the OKDVA, send our hearty Red-Army greetings to the Chekists!

A Radiant Greeting to Comrade Yezhov

"The twentieth anniversary of the VChK-OGPU-NKVD - this is our proletarian celebration. On this day, I recall the Chairman of the All-Russian Extraordinary Committee, Commissar Dzerzhinsky. To him, and to the Chekists of the first post-revolutionary years, fell the difficult task of protection of the revolution from enemies, who were entrenched in the rear of the country, surrounded on all sides by White Guards and Interventionists. We remember with proletarian gratitude the selfless work of the Chekists of that time.

"Years of peaceful construction came. Seemingly, the enemy disappeared. But only seemingly. The more our USSR grew and became stronger, the more vicious became the enemies. Our people and our country were hateful to them. The enemies sneaked into every crack; Troskyist-Bukharinite spies penetrated into industry, transport, agriculture, and the Red Army.

"The pupil of Comrade Stalin, Comrade Yezhov, stood as the head of the NKVD. With his coming, spy organizations were exposed. How many workers’ lives were saved by the NKVD men, when the heinous plans of the fascist reptiles were uncovered!

"On the twentieth anniversary-day of the VChK-NKVD, I add my own voice to the thousands of greetings, in honor of Comrade Yezhov and our valiant workers of the NKVD.
