We note that while Pavlik is every comrade's favorite orphan, he would not necessarily make a good prosecutor. Article 58-9 of the 1934 Criminal Code of the RSFSR applies to sabotage, not to the anti-Soviet agitation and propaganda described in Pavlik's "comments." But perhaps other comrades have evidence of sabotage?

Also, we had earlier come to understand that Pal'mbotskij's class origin was "lumpenproletarian," rather than "kulak."
