"Four years ago a beautiful dog showed up at my door. That night was pouring rain and the dog was sitting on my door step to get out of the storm. The moment I saw him I knew I had to have him. Unfortunately his previous owners had abused him. He had cigar burns all over him, limped on his hind leg and weighed only 35 pounds. That night we took Einstein in.

"Einstein immediately bonded with us. He was so loving and trusting despite what he had gone through with his previous owner, giving us kisses and following us all around the house.

"A few days later my brother died in a motorcycle accident.  Einstein was what kept my family going.  He was the reason we went on those walks all together which allowed us to talk and remember the good things in life, through those walks the healing process began.  I truly believe that Einstein was a gift from beyond.

"He is now a happy, healthy, 75 pound dog. He loves everyone in the family and has added unbelievably to our lives.  As a matter of fact, a year after we found Einstein we rescued another chow, named Fifi.

"I just want to be able to share this story, to dispel those chow myths and stereotypes."
