"I just wanted to say that I think it is a wonderful thing you are doing by rescuing Chow Chows. As far as I know we do not have a rescue in our state. Neither my husband nor I were really fond of Chow Chows until we took a chance and adopted one. A vet near us had one brought in that was left on the on a busy highway as a pup. They kept him for 4 weeks and he was never claimed. We got him at around 6 months old. At first we were not going to get him because of all of the stories that we'd heard about how awful these dogs were and how mean they were. The vet assured us that it was really all in how they are raised. So, we brought him home with us. 

That was 4 years ago. He is still with us and we wouldn't give him up for anything. He is one of the most wonderful pets that we have ever had the pleasure of owning. He is extremely gentle with our 6 year old, 4 year old and 18 month old children. I am so glad that we found him and one day would love to own another. His name is 'BoBo' but he is often called 'Bo' or 'Bodie'! We had a lady and her husband come over who are into rescuing animals and they both commented on how exceptionally well behaved he was."
